Overview: In this workshop, you’ll explore the skills and techniques needed to create fully realized characters in your improv scenes. Discover how physicality, voice, movement, and point of view can help you move beyond your habitual choices and create characters who are distinctive, specific, and fun to play. Why simply be yourself on stage? Break out of your patterns, find the character waiting inside you, and set them free!

The best way to improve your scene work is to focus on listening. But when you’re thinking about what to say next, worrying about the audience, or trying to keep a scene moving, it can be difficult to stay fully present with your scene partner. In this workshop, we will slow things down and show you how the power of listening can make your scenes easier, more connected, and more enjoyable for both you and your audience.
