Description: An intensive deep dive into the Deconstruction, a complex and layered longform ensemble structure, with a wealth of improv tools that will improve all aspects of your performance skills. Lean into the drama & realism of grounded improvisation, practice being a sponge and picking ideas apart comedically with thematics & commentary scenes. Gain more trust in your own instincts while honing supportively aggressive and fearless play.

Jacque Arend began her improv journey in 2005 at the iO Chicago summer intensive, a five week version of their full improv program. In 2007, she co-founded The Torch Theatre and contributed to the design and instruction of their six level program until 2017. Jacque created the improv programs for actors at Arizona Actors Academy in 2013 and continues as a coach and the Assistant Artistic Director. Jacque has brought her improv workshops to DC, San Diego, Camp Improv Utopia East and Tucson, AZ. She is a regular performer at Second Beat Improv Theater performing with Skewed News Hour, a 10 year team and the duo Birds & Broads.
